SPATIAL

2018-2019

Some soft, cheap and single-color industrial materials that are widely used in everyday life. I try to use these things in the space where I live or work, and let the space interact with these items and influence each other.

transparent house

paper,foam,garbage,waste,wood,180x180x140cm

2017

This house was made by me and two other students from Inner Mongolia. We built it temporarily in the exhibition hall of Tokyo University of the Arts. Traditional yurts are made of traditional materials, such as wood and animal skins, depending on the locality. So when we made it in Tokyo, we chose local garbage and light and cheap materials, consumer goods and so on to build it. As the living space of yurt has the functions of easy disassembly and installation, mobility and so on, we decided to move the house for a long distance and build it here for a week. By constructing this behavior, I think about the transnational activities of regional identity in today's era of globalization, such as personal study abroad, overseas immigration and so on
